Arsenal Football Print: Ramsey FA Cup Final Goal for Arsenal v Hull City, Limited Edition Framed Print. Only 50 produced.
Aaron Ramsey’s extra-time winner for Arsenal finally ended their nine-year wait for a trophy, as they dramatically came from two goals behind to beat Hull City and lift the FA Cup at Wembley.
It was the perfect day for a Wembley Final, and this match reignited our love for the FA Cup all over again.
The Gunners started as the big favourites in this clash, but were stunned as goals from James Chester and Curtis Davies gave Hull a flying start inside the first eight minutes.
It could have been three nil, had Kieran Gibbs not been on the line to head clear.
But Arsenal didn’t panic. They have character in bucket loads, and on 17 minutes Cazorla curled a superb free-kick beyond the stretching Hull keeper to bring Arsenal back into the game.
The pressure mounted, chances came and went, then on 71 minutes Koscielny was first to react when a corner deflected off Giroud to make the score 2-2.
Extra–time was needed. The neutral watching this encounter didn’t want the game to end. It was great stuff.
But finally the deadlock was broken by a piece of sheer brilliance from Arsenal.
A wonderful, instinctive back heel from Giroud, fell sweetly to Ramsey, and his first time touch was decisively driven low and hard into the Hull City net.
Arsenal and Wenger are winners again.
